Apomorphine hydrochloride is the main active ingredient which is present in Aprima. The working of Aprima is completely different from other treatments which are given for erectile dysfunction. It is a dopamine agonist which enhances the nerve signals which produce an erection. When sexual stimulation takes place, nerve signals are passed from the brain to the erectile organ, which in turn causes the blood vessels present in the organ to widen which helps in producing an erection.

Usage directions for Aprima

• Take a full glass of water before taking this pill.
• Dissolve the tablet under the tongue.
• Do not chew the tablet.
• Take Aprima at least 20 minutes before sexual activity.

Side effects caused due to Aprima

• Headache
• Nausea
• Dizziness

Some transient side effects are

• Sleeplessness
• Yawning
• Mouth ulcers
• Sweating

Serious effects

• Inflammation of the throat.
• Inflammation of the lining of the nose and intense flushing.

Precautions before you use Aprima

• Incase you have ever experienced an allergic reaction to Apomorphine.
• Angina or suffered a recent heart attack.
• Severe hypotension.
• Peyronies disease.
• Kidney or liver problems.
• Hypertension.
• Elderly people.
• Do not use Aprima along with any drug which contains nitrates.

Drugs which tend to interact with Aprima

• Avoid the consumption of alcohol.
• Cabergoline, bromocriptine, pergolide, and pramiprexole.
• Antipsychotic drugs.
• Quinagolide.

Added Information
Do not take Aprima along with other treatments for erectile dysfunction. All medications should be kept away from children.
